It’s been having problems staying online for the past few days, I think I need to call my ISP and see what is going on. I don’t know what else to do. If you’ve been taking codes from this site without saying anything, please speak up the next time you get one. We would love to get to know everyone. All we ask is that you pick a name and post saying RBM. I’m trying to run the site so that everyone feels welcome and has a chance at snagging a code or two. You are interfering! It is unfair to the people who genuinely want to participate in the fun, and who always follow the ‘rules’ by speaking up. I’m sorry that your own life is so small and bitter that you get kicks off of ‘stealing’ codes from everyone else and from the people who are trying to give them to you for FREE.

MyCode: Thanks for the idea- I think it might help! It would be more work, but maybe I’ll try it every few codes or so and see how it goes. It might help discourage the lurkers, but I bet they’ll still find a way to dupe me, lol. We’ll see!

I’ve been too busy running this weekend, but the lurkers need to find somewhere else to steak MCR’s from. It’s not fair to everyone else and the people posting the codes.

Hi everyone. I have yet to catch a code, but here’s hoping. Just curious, It appears that all the codes are redeemed within a minute of posting because there are usually RNBM’s pretty quick, so why put a *, /, X, or . between the letters of the code?

I hate them too, for obvious reasons. Certain people use auto refreshers that notify them every time a comment is posted.
I also think they know it’s unfair to take so many in a row, so they lurk instead of posting RBM. You know who you are. You’re treading on thin ice.
Then there are the the proxy users… Don’t even get me started.
Why can’t people play fair? May I remind you that you’re getting these codes FOR NOTHING!!!
I’ve said many times before that I want people to use common courtesy and discretion. If you’ve taken one already today, leave the rest for someone else who hasn’t been so lucky. (Or at least wait a few codes before you take another!)
But that’s when people start lurking, because they won’t admit they took them all. I can’t stop you from taking all the codes, unless I set the site up for members only. Since I hate registering for forums, I decided to try to leave it open. However, I’m starting to have second thoughts…
Look, the bottom line is this: I don’t mind what you do, just be polite! Post a comment each time you take a code. If you notice that you’ve taken two or three in a day, let someone else have some before you take more. We are trying to spread free codes to as many people as we can. We want to put a little sunshine into as many people’s lives as we can. If you get free codes, great! Just please try to appreciate it and pay it forward. It’s all about helping others out. We’re helping you out, so help us to help others out, lol! If everyone does their part, we could have an awesome site here. I really appreciate your cooperation. Thanks, guys!

I agree with MmmmCoke. Anyway, I think both of us do quite well w/o auto refreshers. Sometimes it get frustrating when we feel like we’re fast enough but keep missing one code after another. But that is also the lure of this site. *Don’t laugh* but I feel a great sense of achievement when ever I do get a code.

Oh, and one more thing. I can’t speak for all the auto refreshers, but I just use it in the background so I don’t have to refresh ALL day. When there’s a warning message, I switch to manually refreshing (unless I’m AFK). Just in case anyone was confused about that.

You don’t have to publish this post if it will cause some trouble, but I’m feeling a bit unappreciated. Not by you and some select people here, but by most others who just grab a code and post RBM with not so much as a simple thank you or thanks! I am always glad to help when I can and I like posting the codes… it makes me feel good as I know it’s helping someone out.
I just notice that you always get a thanks post along with the RBM and I’m not jealous at all, just feeling a bit… unappreciated.
Any suggestions for letting people a simple thanks goes a LONG WAY? I come here with the hopes of meeting some cool people and making friendly chit chat, but with the choking fiasco the other day… nothing, not even a “hope you’re doing better”… but someone sure grabbed the code!

I’ll still be back to post codes probably just because I like to spread some joy and I need all the good karma I can get, but that’s my gripe. I’m sorry to take so much space and to complain. Please edit this as necessary or don’t even post it at all! Thanks.

I really like the idea of having to send an email to get the code. I have never even tried to get a code because I am technically challenged and everything takes me a bit of time. I might have a slim chance if you implement this change.

Hey AlmostFriends- Thanks so much for your post- I decided to post it as-is because I’m with you 100% on this and couldn’t agree more. That is exactly how I feel about posting, and I too sometimes get discouraged when people don’t say thanks (and it happens more often than you think!). When people do say RBM and thanks, it really does go a long way and make me feel appreciated. Just hope everyone keeps your words in mind… I’ve tried to express the same sentiments, but thought it might just be something personal against me by someone I blocked. I would hope that people would be even nicer to you, since you are ‘one of them’ donating codes! I appreciate you immensely, and I hope that I can figure out a way to get people to cooperate. I don’t want to lose you as a member of our little community! I hope you are feeling better and I’m sorry for not saying it sooner.

can i tell you guys about my good fortune at CVS? not that it has anything to do with MCR…….
I found 3 pkg of pampers baby dry mega packs (2 size 6 and 1 size 5 — total of 126 diapers) on the clearance shelf. They were marked down to $4.50 apiece – I used my $3.50 ECB, $2, $1.50 and $1 off coupons and ended up paying $5.50 for all 3 pkgs.
The lady behind the counter said they were re-doing their shelves and for some reason they “needed to go”. She said her dad bought like 6 pkgs the day before.
I couldn’t believe it

I agree… some guy came out and was like we can see you on the security camera. I told him I was just looking for bottle caps and that I thought since it was a public drop off, nobody would care. He said they have people that come and try to rummage through the electronic recycling bins, and that they have to run them off all the time. I explained that I was only going through plastics for caps, but he just kept telling me they saw me on camera… very awkward.
Oh well, they never really have any caps anyway. I only found 2. Just irks me nonetheless, it’s essentially trash that people throw away. But apparently once it’s dropped off, it becomes property of the city.
Oh well, now I know. No big loss…

MsDanaDS: Most codes are one time use codes. So, if you’ve used them, then they are no longer usable. The only codes that I’ve seen that are reusable by multiple users are the scrabble ones posted on the link at the top titled “Subway Scrabble”.

ColaGal, I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope you had some ample warning and not just a last minute notice! My parents house is in limbo as well seeing as the owner “lost” the house not that long ago (I’m thinking foreclosed?), so I have no idea what will happen or when. It’s pretty scary. I just hope your new house owners let you continue to rent. I’m keeping them crossed for you.

Thanks for the kind wishes! Fortunately, our lease guarantees us the house at the current rent until Dec. 17, so we are trying to figure out what to do at that point. Don’t know if they’ll raise the rent, so we’re looking at all our options. However, I’m still unemployed, so we don’t really know where we’ll want to be by then either. Oh well, I’m sure we’ll be fine (we always are!).
