This is getting very annoying for me, and a lot of other people. I tried my own code just to see if it was used. It was. So then I tried all of Darrel’s, and all of his were used. Then I tried Askit’s codes. All the codes I tried have been used. If you use a code, do the right thing and say RBM. (Redeemed By Me) Or if you did not use them, say RNBM. (Redeemed NOT By Me). Comon’ people. It’s not that hard to type a few letters instead of a whole bunch of people copy, and pasting then going on the site to try and redeem it.

All the codes above have been redeemed, so don’t try them.

I have never been able to get a code as of yet, although I have noticed that the delay for moderation has been the culprit of late for the apparent lurker activity.
For instance today I posted about Darrell’s codes being RNBM and at the time no-one had a post of RBM. Then I just refreshed and codecola’s post shows before mine with the RBM

Apparently there is a Double Point period for Diet Coke Flaps only today and tomorrow. BUT the packages have to have the ”Heart Truth” on the packaging. I have checked two of our accounts so far and don’t have this offer on them. Maybe some of you do? Apparently the last ten codes I donated were unfortunately lurked.
I so hate when that happens. It prevents me from donating any for a long while. So, you stupid fool of a lurker, all you have to do is type a simple RBM, and more codes appear. I swear I can’t believe how totally stupid you are, as well as unbelievably lazy. I doubt you wipe after the toilet.

Sorry for posting twice. The twist 2 text FAQ says sprite caps won’t work, but says these should: “20-ounce, 24-ounce and 1 liter Coca-Cola® packages” so it doesn’t seem to be limited to a particular item other than Sprite not working since it has its own texting game.

This latest texting of codes is not the twist, text, win, that all of us are accustomed to. That particular promo is due to start back on May 5, 2011 through Sept, 6th or 11th, I forget which. When it starts back, there will be a winner every two minutes. It should not be a problem to win, it’s just a matter of what the prizes will be. Last fall I won 6 $25.00 edo’s in a 3 week period.

I have to say thanks to Robert for the info on the NCAA shirt.
My mother-in-law brought me a bunch of caps so I was able to get 2 shirts + I have a few left over
I have only ever been able to get 1 code from here so I am going to try to let someone get a few but I am going to add a twist.
The codes are all from diet coke and there is a letter that is actually only ever a number in two, then refer to FAQ for some commonly confused and replace my ‘confused’ letter (i only used the first set) and finally remove the letter that is never in the codes.

Hi Sprite, thanks for asking- iCoke codes come from Canadian Coca-Cola products which will have both English and French on them, be in metric (eg. 355ml, 2 litre, etc.), and they’ll have text that reads something like “Pin under cap gives you iCoke.ca points” instead of the “get rewarded” text above the bottle silhouette you’re accustomed to. Basically, if there’s no bottle image and the lid points you to .ca instead of .com it’s one of ours.

I don’t even attempt to redeem them off this section of the site anymore for that very reason. Even in the private forum I let the codes go by to someone else most of the time. And how could you know it was a ‘lurker’ who took the codes, rather than one of you who just didn’t feel like replying? And if there is a private forum where most things are posted anyway for registered users, then people have to assume the public forum is open to the general public, therefore, what exactly constitutes ‘a lurker’? ItsJustMe – getting locked out of one’s account means they have tried too many codes that are already taken and have been locked out of their My Coke Rewards account. Being locked out means you can’t enter anymore codes until the next day when it resets.

We know the forum is public, but no one needs an account to post and we do hope for common courtesies such as posting back that you took a code to be nice and to avoid other people trying codes that are already used. Therefore, a lurker is anyone who takes a code but does not post as such. (That means they are reading this forum, but not speaking up. aka they are “lurking.”) If no one claims the codes, the people who donate them will not want to donate more, so it’s really everyone’s loss if no one claims a code, you see? The private forum was only recently created because we and the owner of the site, ColaGal, all got tired of no one claiming codes.

Also, as to why your post “disappeared” you should read the FAQ. ColaGal moderates all of the posts and nothing shows up to the general public until she approves it. You seem to have switched computers or something, so you didn’t have your old post cached anymore and since it is not available for the public yet, you could no longer see it.

It used to be that there was no “U” in codes. Although, recently I too noticed that Coke will take a “V” and interchange it with a “U” now, just like it always did with “O” and “0″ (zero). Maybe they changed things because of the new 14-character codes. Maybe they just got tired of all the wondering if it’s a V or a U, if it’s a O or a 0?

Vivi12, a garden party, the ladies auxilary, and three nightclubs could not go through that much Coke. I simply visit areas where I can get them. Convenience stores save them for me, as do individuals. They are even shipped to me from bordering states from people I know. I only manage one account, and fill it every Sunday night, then I give the codes to others. I did a little contest awhile back and gave away over 1000 points. I just enjoy the giving, and will continue as long as I can.

i was planning on putting up a code as soon i would recieve one but looks like it aint happenning, i keep checking and then it shows up at a time i already checked but it shows up litterly 6 hrs later. Can someone please explain. Its getting kinda frusterating honestly. Seeing the same people get the codes even though im checking this sight like every half hr.

pwduke76, if you just redeemed them, they are of no use to anyone else. They are one time only codes.

susan, you claim codes when they show up, or you lose out. If they left them, I highly doubt you would be able to redeem them. Others would have gotten them. You have to check often for new, unused codes. Please read the FAQ’s for further assistance.

We have run into this same situation several times in the past. I’m referring to the taking of codes from this site. If any of you care to check back you will find that the person you are referring to has sponsored contests in the past. They have also donated codes here. I also happen to know this person works with several charities and certainly puts the codes taken to good use. And no matter who happens upon the codes here, if they are not taken them they will be grabbed by the next person so you would just be bitching about someone else instead of (and I am not hesitant to use the name) Cyn. So I say you go girl, take the codes you find here exactly as the site is meant for. Our problem is not with one person, it is with the lurkers, and you may rest assured she is not one of them.

Please remember that the whole point of this website is to SHARE my coke rewards points with others. If you are here when the codes are posted, take them. However, Cyn, you do seem to take more than your fair share. I have held my tongue in the past because I would much rather the codes go to your special munchkins than to some dumb lurkers. But I can also understand how others might get frustrated at seeing the same person get codes over and over again when they have yet to snag a single one. This is a tough situation. Cyn, since you have access to the private forum as well, perhaps you could take turns. One day, only watch/snag codes on the forum and the next day only watch the homepage. I don’t know if you’re already doing this or not- but I do agree that something needs to be done here. Codes are NOT being spread around to enough people. And since you’ve been around since day one, you have now become the main benefactor of this site, and you make more of a ‘profit’ than anyone else. Even me, since I PAY out of my own pocket to GIVE all these codes to you and everyone else. I know that you use these codes as a sort of charity project, but it does keep the rest of our visitors from getting their free code. If Darrell or someone else wants to quit donating here and just give you their codes, maybe they should because so many others are being left out and complaining. And believe me, I hate to say that because our donators are amazing and I couldn’t do this without them. I am going to have to start watching and waiting for the lurkers again, I suppose. Arg.

As far as the comments made earlier, I was slightly insulted by both Susan and Cyn. Please remember that visiting the site for one day, or even one year, does NOT entitle ANYONE to codes. Neither does making one $20 donation when the site costs much more than this to run. These codes are meant to go to as many different people as possible. That’s the whole point. And if this ridiculousness continues, I will be forced to block all parties involved from viewing the site at all.

Susan, I can understand your ignorance because you obviously don’t know anything about our little site. However, if you think it is so easy to create a website, why don’t you make your own coke points site? Let’s see how well that goes. Also, having a husband deployed in Afghanistan doesn’t give you the right to use that to ‘prove’ you are more patriotic than someone else, or any other point. God bless him for protecting us and doing what the rest of us cannot. Cyn, I expect more from you! I know you were just venting, but I think sometimes you do feel a little bit entitled to these codes. I guess I should just start censoring comments so none of this crap happens anymore. Maybe I should delete this entire site- it’s become just a pain in ‘MY’ royal American a$$!

ColaGal I am new to this site and I think it is great. My opinion about the codes is that it is first come first serve and that people just need to be courteous to each other. I never felt that certain members were taking too many codes, I just thought they got lucky and were able to redeem them. I guess I was giving people the benefit of the doubt.
Also one more point…the only person “entitled” to the coke code is the person who bought the coke. And since they are choosing to donate it to the site, it becomes the site’s. So if your going to redeem a code people should follow the rules of the site.

I am not quite sure how it happened that my name was mentioned to perhaps stop donating codes here and give them all to one person. If anyone would care to scroll back you would find a post from me explaining my reasoning for not donating entirely on the forum and not giving here. But my reason was that it seemed to me that all of my donated codes were going to the same few people. So in the interest of sharing I decided to start giving more here again. I also know it was due to a good bit of complaining from me about lurkers that ColaGal developed the forum. So it is a fine line of should I do this, or should I do that.
ColaGal, your post was very level headed and covered just about all the bases. And knowing for as long as I have that you can’t please everyone not matter what you do, I probably should have kept my comments to myself about who, what, how, where, and when anyone should get codes, or the amount that should be taken. For quite awhile it has been Robert and I who give freely the majority of codes here. But I shudder to think that would lead to either of us taking liberties here because of it. My main distaste here has always been the lurkers, and I have always let that be known.
I would truly love it if everyone got an equal amount of codes from here, but we know that’s never going to happen. But to suggest that I stop donating here and give to just one does leave me with a small amount of hurt feelings.
