McDonald’s Monopoly Is Back! The 2011 Game officially kicks off September 20! Here’s how to play:

2011 MONOPOLY Game at McDonald’s  9/20/11 – 11/5/11:
1) A “$10,000 CASHstakes” online pre-promotion sweepstakes that begins at 12:00:00 a.m. on September 20, 2011 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. on September 26, 2011.
2) The 2011 Hit the Hat online Game that begins at 12:00:00 a.m. on September 27, 2011 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. on November 5, 2011 (“Online Game Play Period”) including a Nissan Z® Zweepstakes (“Online Game Sweepstakes”).
3) An In-Store Game that begins at 12:00:00 a.m. on September 27, 2011 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. on October 24, 2011.

The Pre-Promotion Sweepstakes and the Online Game Sweepstakes are available in the US and Canada. The Online Pre-Promotion Sweepstakes & the Online Game Sweepstakes are open only to residents of the US and Canada who must be at least thirteen (13) years of age or older on the Day of registration.
The 2011 Online Game is available in the fifty (50) United States and D.C. The 2011 Online Game is open only to residents of the US who are thirteen (13) years of age or older on the Day of Online registration.
The In-Store Game is available at participating McDonald’s restaurants in the fifty (50) United States and D.C. (“US”); Guam and Saipan (collectively with the US, the “Domestic Territory”) and Canada (collectively with the Domestic Territory, the “Territory”).

 

How to obtain a Game Board and Game Piece and Free Code:
Obtain an Official game board, while supplies last, at: (a) participating McDonald’s restaurants; or (b) Online at http://www.playatmcd.com/. A Game Board provides helpful information to play the Game, but is not necessary to participate in the Game. Official MONOPOLY Game pieces consist of two (2) MONOPOLY Game stamps, and each Game Stamp (except Instant Win Game Stamps) has a unique alphanumeric 11-digit code to play the 2011 Online Game.
Game Pieces can be obtained as follows, while supplies last:
With Purchase: Get a Game Piece contained on specially marked packaging by visiting a participating McDonald’s restaurant in the Domestic Territory and purchasing one of the following food items (where available): Medium Fountain Drinks; Medium and Large Iced and Blended McCafé® beverages including Smoothies and Frappés (excludes large Iced Coffee and excludes McCafé® Shakes); Hash Browns; Big Mac®; 10-piece Chicken McNuggets®; Egg McMuffin® (excludes Sausage McMuffin®); Oatmeal and Filet-O-Fish®. Individuals who purchase specially marked packaging of 20-piece Chicken McNuggets® or Large Fries will receive two (2) Game Pieces. As the Game progresses, some participating McDonald’s restaurants may run out of some forms of specially marked packaging with Game Pieces before others. When a McDonald’s restaurant runs out of specially marked packaging with Game Pieces, that specially marked packaging may not be resupplied.
Without Purchase (alternate method of entry “AMOE”): A Participant can request a Game Piece without buying a food item at a participating McDonald’s location by mailing a legibly handwritten, self-addressed, stamped envelope (“SASE”) with sufficient postage and a return address, including first and last name, street address, city, state, and ZIP or postal code to: 2011 MONOPOLY Game at McDonald’s Game Piece Request, P.O. Box 49180, Strongsville, OH 44149-0180.
FREE Codes Through Links Contained in Various Game Communications: A free code can be obtained (a) on the Official Website http://www.playatmcd.com/; and (b) in various Game communications. The FREE Code “MCDFORREAL” is the only FREE Code that can be used to participate in the Pre-Promotion Sweepstakes. Any FREE Code can be used during the 2011 Online Game Play Period to register for the Game and receive a Sweepstakes entry (but not an Online Game Play). The date of FREE Code entry (or the date of a Game Code entry) determines which Sweepstakes is entered: Pre-Promotion Sweepstakes (9/20/11 – 9/26/11) or Online Game Sweepstakes (9/27/11 – 11/5/11). Once a FREE Code is used by a Participant, it will not be available for that Participant’s use for the remainder of the 2011 Online Game Play Period. A FREE Code is not valid for an Online Game Play and can only be used once per eligible person. FREE Codes, or links to FREE Codes, may be included in Game communications authorized by the Sponsor that may appear or be sent from time to time, such as a FREE Code in a communication from a Prize Partner, but any FREE Code will only be available to any Participant for one (1) Sweepstakes entry.

To participate in the Pre-Promotion Sweepstakes, the 2011 Online Game and the Online Game Sweepstakes, an individual who is a US resident and thirteen (13) years of age or older must first complete Online registration. To register simply access www.PlayatMcD.com.
When registering for the Pre-Promotion Sweepstakes, enter FREE Code “MCDFORREAL”. When registering for the 2011 Online Game, enter any Game Code or FREE Code.

There is a limit of one (1) Online Registration per Online Participant. Limit one (1) Pre-Promotion Sweepstakes entry per Online Participant.

Online Game Sweepstakes: Available in the US and Canada. Each Game Code (and FREE Code) that is received and recorded by the Game Computer during the Online Game Play Period will be automatically entered into a random drawing to select one (1) potential winner. Plus, each time an Online Participant completes five (5) Online Game Plays (and/or FREE Code entries), that Online Participant will receive five (5) additional Online Game Sweepstakes entries (“Bonus Entries”).

2011 Online Game: Available only in the US. Each MONOPOLY Collect & Win Game Stamp and Food Prize Game Stamp contains the 2011 Online Game URL (www.PlayatMcD.com) with a Game Code and is valid for one (1) 2011 Online Game play plus one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the Online Game Sweepstakes (9/27/11 – 11/5/11). Note: codes found on Instant Win Game Stamps (except those Game Codes found on Food Prize Game Stamps) are for Prize claims, and are not valid for 2011 Online Game play or Online Game Sweepstakes entry at the Official Website. Online Participants must enter a valid Game Code to receive one (1) Online Game play. To play, select one (1) of three card throw styles (All-Star, Vegas or Ultimate). When you “click” on your selected card throw style, Mr. MONOPOLY will attempt to throw the card into a top hat. If the card at the end of the throw lands inside the top hat, a message will reveal that you are a potential winner of a Prize; if you are not a potential winner, the message will not reveal a Prize. If the Online Participant is the potential winner of the Prize shown, the Prize claim process can be started immediately by clicking on the “CLAIM PRIZE!” button or you can begin the Prize claim process after you receive the Prize email that includes instructions to claim the Prize. There is a limit of ten (10) Online Game Plays per Online Participant per Day. The ten (10) Online Game Play Game Code limit does not include the FREE Codes.

In-Store Game: Obtain a Game Piece and carefully peel each Game Stamp from its backing or from the specially marked packaging to which it is affixed to determine if it is an “Instant Win Game Stamp” or part of a potential Winning Combination.
Instant Win: If a Game Stamp reveals a Prize identified in these Official Rules as an Instant Win Prize, then the Participant when verified is the winner of that Prize.
Collect & Win: If a Game Stamp reveals a MONOPOLY property, Participant must collect and combine all of the original Collect & Win Game Stamps of the same property set necessary to form a winning combination.

Pre-Promotion Sweepstakes Prize: On or about October 3, 2011, one (1) potential winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted by an independent organization selected by Sponsor, from among all eligible entries. Potential Winner will be contacted by telephone and/or email and/or a traceable method of mail within two (2) business Days after the drawing and potential winner will be required to complete and return all required Prize claim documents in five (5) business Days or said potential winner will be disqualified, forfeit the Prize and an alternate winner will be selected. The verified winner will receive a check for ten thousand dollars ($10,000).
