jhmc, the only trick is to make sure you enter the maximum number of times allowed each and every day to increase your chances. There has never been a single Best Buy instant game that I have not won. And that seems like 8 or 10, something like that. I’ve also won all of the Six Flags tickets four packs offered, the Publix $25.00 card, not to mention the multiple wins at mycoke.com. Like 15 edo cash wins of $25.00, maybe 20 pair of movie tickets, and 3 Live Nation. Just keep at it, and you will get there.

jhmc – No, there’s no trick to any of the instant win games. HOWEVER, the winning times are PRE-GENERATED and the person who plays at the winning time gets the prize. SO, in order to increase your odds, try playing your 5 chances with a good amount of time in between (i.e. once every few hours and NOT one after the other in the space of a few minutes.) Also, the result has already been decided once you say “yes” you want to enter and before the game even loads. That means that if you enter and you have a problem seeing the game, you can still win it
It also means that no matter how long or short you let it spin around, the result will be the same when you click “Stop.”
Note: For games like the Best Buy Instant Win where there are enough prizes to have a winner every 15 minutes, I aim to try at least 15 mins apart each time. For games that only have one prize per day or so, I tend to try hours apart. Reading the rules can give you some insight on the system they use to pick prizes for each game.
(I guess this technically does not “increase” your odds, but what are the chances that the winning time is just one second after you played your first chance?? I can’t imagine that happening!)

I just looked at the October prize preview and wow O_o random, you must have TONS of points because every single thing there is way more than 2000!! I mean, right now 2000 is the max amount you can spend for a prize right? The October ones go up to like 12,000! I don’t think I’ll have enough points for anything! There is another new promotion at mycokerewards.com. This one involves purchasing specially marked 6-pack Coke and Sprite products, .5L or 24 oz. bottles, only from WALMART. There is a “peel-off sticker” that that states, “Look inside for 10 Bonus My Coke Rewards Points and an offer for a free Sports Illustrated T-shirt.”
My understanding is that there are only 5,000 shirts available, size XL ONLY.

During the week including October 1, I will have a total of 10,300. What to do, what to do. Having spent over 50,000 in the past should make me more aware of what I should do, but it doesn’t. I held off spending for a long time and all of a sudden the point cost for prizes doubled after having gone up just a couple of months before. That’s a prime example of why not to wait. I’m pretty depressed about this whole October Prizes thing. Since creating this site, I’ve given probably tens of thousands of points away for free to complete strangers. I was also unemployed for over two years and never once filed for unemployment or food stamps. I could really, really use some of those nicer prizes.
I quit entering points into my account a long time ago, so even if I am still able to log in, there is no way I can put enough points back in by October 1 to get anything. I’m pretty pissed.
Sorry for the rant, it’s been a bad week and I’m feeling a little frustrated finding out I gave away my chance to redeem some of these awesome prizes. Hope you all appreciate the site and everything, cause right now I’m having some serious second thoughts. I know this comes across as greedy, but I don’t care at the moment. ColaGuy and I live on bare bones- we struggle and do without basic necessities every month to pay our rent and gas and groceries and this sucks.

Aww, CG, I am so sorry that you had such tough week. To be honest, even I became sad when I saw the October prize thingy…all the time, I kept on aiming for the skillet set for 2,000 pts and when it was out, I got a binocular which is really useless, now, I see such awesome prizes for the whole family but I am so damn short of pts! I am still in 1300 pts…and with 120 pts a week limit, there is no way anyone can get so many pts! Well, lucky for those who will be able to get those big prizes.

Morning all.
ColaGal no worries on the rant, I’d be kinda peeved too with the constant point inflation. I used to try to go for stuff, but it would often break or not arrive or some other odd wacky bizarre thing, so I just go for the four 20 oz bottles week- nothing special.
I too have not posted a code in awhile. Unlike where Darrell is, where codes seemingly grow on trees or fall out of thin air (no Darrell, just a figure of speech, I know you put some effort in), I’m not finding as many codes as I did a month or two ago with as much or more effort. It doesn’t help that alot of local baseball/softball seasons are ending up here. Fewer people are littering and people are drinking more pepsi and dr. pepper and less coke.
Maybe it is just me, but seems like the same people or lurkers are getting the codes. They may be fast, lucky, or both- no matter. But for many it can be very frustrating. I understand this having only ever snagged one code on these 30 pages. But then I get frustrated after all of the efforts done when some say “I need codes, please send codes etc. etc.” I have news to most all, most everyone here wants and needs codes, or why would we be here in the first place?
(Okay granted, alot of good info is shared here such as the new Wal-mart promo- thanks!!!!)
So to maybe lessen the frustration and liven up the weekend I’m going to have another drawing with ColaGal’s blessing. Starting now and ending 11:59pm Eastern (10:59pm in the land of cheese) Monday night (going to MP today, Sunday and Monday evening), all posters who leave a post and have never snagged a code off of this site will be entered into this drawing. Of course, all posters who beg/ask for a code directly will be disqualified. A simple, “I have never gotten/snagged a code, please enter me into the drawing” shall suffice. Also, no fibbing here, for I will check. Fibbers will be DQ’ed too.
Now the good part- the prizes. The randomly drawn winner will receive a 20 point code, 2nd place a ten point code (which could be more these days with the Million point giveaway), and 3 third place winners will win a three pointer code each. Winners will be announced sometime Monday night-Tuesday morning (again when I get home from the D-back-Brewers game Monday night) and codes shall be emailed to you shortly thereafter.

Sorry guys. But I’m getting a little agitated that people snag the codes and don’t seem to have the common courtesy to say “RBM” or “RNBM”.
I know it’s not most of you but how can I be sure that it’s not the same person getting code after code? Even though I like giving out codes it makes me reconsider posting up the top points (eg. 10-20 pts).
I don’t want to tell you how to run your website ColaGal, but it might be a good idea (at least to me) to have people register.

If there are only 5000 shirts available, that’s like 100 per state, or more like 1 per store. That certainly makes the chances of getting one highly unlikely. Anyone lucky enough to get one might want to look closely at putting it on eBay. It will be a collector’s item.

CokeGal, know what you mean about the bonus point prizes coming out in October. I JUST redeemed 4500 points…got $100 in gift certificates at the Nike store and a free SkinIt. If I had known about the upcoming prizes, I might have waited. Now, I’m down to…maybe…16 points.

ColaGal, I’m glad you said what you said and told people how you felt about this Oct. prize deal and giving away so many codes. I also would like to thank you for putting this site together. I can’t tell you how informative and at time downright funny it is. You also personally helped me when I had a difficult situation on the site. I have been collecting codes and entering sweepstakes for a while now. None of the prizes ever appealed to me except a year of pogo. I could have had the codes for some of the nice prizes but I donated, gave away and entered sweepstakes. NOW they decide to put some great prizes on at rediculous costs. It feels crappy. I’ve been a devoted coke fan and feel ripped off. That said I will just keep doing what I have been doing, and get excited about finding a 3 point bottle cap (Kind of pathetic). So I’m irritated with coke and grateful for your generosity and for putting all this together. I am sorry for what you are going through you deserve better, but it is a gift to make all of us smile. BetaID, I totally agree with you about the RBM and the RNBM. ColaGal can vouch for me, since I am a regular here since she began the site. I just have a new ID as of late. I used to donate quite regularly, even though I collect codes not for me, but for a good cause. We had no major problems when the site first began, because everyone would honestly state their position on a code. ColaGal can also vouch that I have a tendency of posting as soon as possible, just to help her check her log, see who else was on at the same time the codes were posted, so that she can catch “double identities” and “lurkers”. There are a lot of times where I will “wait” a bit, hoping someone “true and honest” got the codes. Then I try them and quickly type to help ColaGal out.
I so badly wanted to donate more codes as of late, but i told ColaGal that I was turned off by the antics of a month ago. We lost a very generous code supplier due to it too. My fear is that this person may never come back. From that experience, I personally found out that if a person gets what someone considers “too many codes”, the honest way, by refreshing the page manually, and states RBM, then that person is singled out and attacked.
Now, with that new drawing being done by jrmxcoke, there seems to be a heck of a lot more “unclaimed” codes. People are abusing this site, just to enter a contest? So, they have to act like they have never ever received a code from here? What better reason to NOT type a RBM. Get my point? And, all of a sudden, people who have been watching the site, possibly even benefiting from the site, are finally putting their name down. All because of a contest. Now add in the fact that school is out. All of a sudden there are new names popping up like crazy. The “rotten apples” are going ruin it for everyone.
I don’t blame ColaGal when she gets frustrated and upset by what a few are doing. I don’t blame any generous soul for being aggravated when something done in a giving manner has backfired. All this being said, I too believe a solution needs to be found.
I have a few ideas on how I can donate again, and I may be trying them out soon, because a special occasion is coming up in the very near future, and I’d like to celebrate with the friends I’ve made here. My warning to everyone is you’d better be careful, honest and true, or code giving won’t benefit you. I even made it rhyme, so it can be remembered.

I’ve never been able to use any codes from this site because they are always used even if you they don’t post that they took them. Anyways I was also very disapointed they didn’t bother to say these bonus pts would be coming up prior to it happening because i had 20 10pts that i used over two weeks. I’m so close to getting those stoneware bowls, i work at a bar and take all the codes from ppl there (they think i’m nuts when i ask for their cap) but I’ve nagged 1400pts w/o buying anything in the past 6 months. As for the game that you play to get those bonus points. Not sure if everyone got it but the first time i played it I got 10pts from the first bubble. What’s up with all the misery? So and so got this, I didn’t get that, they got too many, send me some, no, send them to me instead.
Most of you need to get off your ass and go find your own codes. To at least supplement your total. No one is going to get enough codes from here to get anything of value without another source. And all of this negativity makes a person not even want to come to this site.
And some of the questions asked, not to mention grammar or sentence structure, makes a person wonder how it the hell did they even navigate to this site. Ease off folks, and try to enjoy this site for what it’s meant to be. A friendly town hall meeting and sharing a pot luck dinner, so to speak.

@It’s2Late: I have never redeemed a code from this site nor have I complained about this fact.
On July 29th I donated a code for a FREE 1 Month Subscription to MARVEL Digital Comics. I hoped that someone who enjoys comics such as CJ would redeem it. However, there were no responses regarding whether or not the code was redeemed. I was furious because of the lack of gratitude and am no longer interested in donating codes.

In regards to Crista Galli, thanks for your honesty, but for better or worse in some eyes, this drawing was designed for those who never have snagged a code from here. Maybe another time.
To those on trouble playing the Million point giveaway. I had a 10 poinbter which the conest didn’t work right with and I contacted Coke first via email then on the phone and got the same answer which was there is a way to play without purchase, the chance that didn’t work from the code entered would not be replaced. Related note, I am 0 for 15 playing that contest.
It’s2Late, maybe I goofed on this drawing, who knows. If you are not pleased by it, how would have you set it up and/or make it better? I’m not going to change this one with it nearly done, but it would be good to know for maybe the next one. who knows when that may be since winter seemingly comes after a two day fall up here. I do agree with you that some solution needs to be found.

JrmxCoke, no, you did not goof — not at all. It was not my intent to judge your contest. Heck, anyone who donates should be allowed to do so in whatever fashion they choose. Instead, I was just letting our “newbies” know that we are totally aware of any and all antics, and that our focus is to keep the site as much fun as possible — much the same as it was from the beginning, with the added twists of the new and wonderful people who share their codes with all of us.
It’s been a very long and busy day for me (I’m going on three hours of sleep right now), and the rest of the week will be somewhat the same; but I will be asking ColaGal to forward an email to you with some of the things I’d like to try. You know what, while I was looking through past posts thelast few days, I did see a simple drawing contest which I thought was pretty neat when it was done awhile ago. It was the simple pick a number between 0 and 100 drawing. As last time, one can only pick a number once and then you are locked in. First posted, first served so once a number is taken- it is gone. If someone picks a number that someone else earlier had taken, then they can repost and choose another number (I put this in since often there is lag time between when one posts and when it is up for all to see). Please indicate this is so if you have to repost for this reason.
The number shall be choosen randomly Friday night at 11:59pm eastern (10:59pm in the land of cheese) or when all numbers from 0 to 100 are taken. Results shall be posted shortly thereafter. The closest guess wins.
Unlike the last drawing I tried, anyone can play EXCEPT anyone who begs for or directly asks for codes after this post shall be disqualified, for nothing angers me more than the whiney begging (and sorry if I offend any whiney beggars, but stop it- instructions at the top of the page say not to do it).
The prize is a 20 point Dasani water multi bottle pack code. If the top two guessers are equidistant to the randomly selected number, they will ‘split’ the 20 points and each will receive a 10 point 12 pack code.

And, since we’re “giving away” some of our point-collecting secrets, I’ve got at least two friends who give me their codes, ’cause they drink Coke and don’t do the rewards thing. I *don’t* drink Coke, but still manage a good collection of points that way.

Will the site be operational while you are gone? I also am curious how the successful code getters get them so fast (I’m asking without begging for a code so I hope you don’t ignore my question. Filia, I heard (actually read) only good things about the vac containers. They were even priced on the web and the purchasers said it was a great deal. Some ordered a set per account. I don’t know what the sandwich maker is like, but hey, what can they do to it? It’s got to be like George Foreman’s products, right? And, I love mine. Maybe do a search on it and see what you come up with.
NAM and Tudie, getting codes is “all in the wrist”. It’s refreshing the page, but it is also being in the right place at the right time. Sometimes you’re lucky and sometimes the whole day is a bust. Good luck.

Is there a special key for refreshing? I seem to remember one of the “f” keys is used for that function. Does anyone know? It’s kind of strange but I have gotten 2 surveys in the last 2 days one from coke and one from a private company. @lizzz: It’s the October preview of prizes that everyone’s been talking about. If you go to the million points give away contest page (an ad on the main MCR website), you’ll see an ad near the bottom saying “Starts Oct. 1st.” Click on “See More” and that’s the preview. If you scroll over the items, it tells you how much they will cost. The items are ALL priced over 2000, which is the current highest. This concerns me because I’m afraid they’ll be upping the price for all of the rewards prizes…

In other news, finally got a winner on the million point giveaway. I took a really small really fast bubble and boom it popped with ‘Winner.’ I clicked to follow a prompt which lead to another page where they gave you a bonus code which I copied into the code entry box we all use and then clicked the enter thing and the bouns points were creditted. Granted, I am way overly excited over 10 bonus points, but heck, bonus points are bonus points. Oh, the winner came off of a coke zero 12 pack, but I don’t think that made the differemce. Who knows why it came up winner- I surely don’t.

For me I have won (we have four people in our family and I do all the entries now) total about $425 in edo cards since 2009, about $135 in Best Buy cards, 3 sets of six flag tickets, an ungodly amount of movie tickets (I can’t even begin to guess), Guitar Hero, 2 Chili’s cards and a $500 Visa card. As far as entering into the instant wins… the winning time is randomly computer generated so it could be any time of the day or night. TimSmith, if you pay for and have a plan that covers testing, my understanding is your messages would be included, both outgoing and incoming. If you are still confused, look at your plan online. Most companies let you review your plan that way.
Way to go, Acein. We too have won a considerable amount for the accounts we have, and I too do all the work.
So far, our list includes almost $600 in edo cards, 225 in Best Buy cards plus 4 recent wins not added in yet, the last TGIF promotion was won 5 times; Subway was won 5 times, Sprite $100 GCs times 3, 2 Guitar Hero wins, 22 movie wins, 5 Chili GCs, 5 Six Flag wins last year and 1 so far this year, 2 Live Nation wins at $20 each and 1 at $100, Papa John’s Pizza times 5… and the list goes on. the only trick I can say about the best buy one is when you do your five free entries make sure you do them once a minute for ex start at 600 then 601 602 ect it is timed so the winning time is important if you get them all done it two seconds you won’t win

I have won so many things I can’t even remember all of it. edo cards, movie tickets,livenation codes, Papa Johns, Best Buy, Subway, etc. I think just entering the maximum every day is more important than trying to time it. Back when you could enter 50 free times per day I entered every day & won the $100 Maggiano’s card & a $75 edo card. Since they did away with the 50 free sweeps enteries, I just do the 5 free instant win now. I’m waiting for some new IW games, Don’t want 6 flags tickets or trips to the Grand Canyon.LOL!

Hey everyone, I made it to Seattle to visit my sister! Yay!

okay I’m confused cause which drawing did i win if not the number one?
In response to the code ninja’s. The only code I’ve ever redeemed from this site has been just a little awhile ago from the email I received and I thank you very much. So not sure who has the site on speed dial but it’s not this newbie. I did try tonight to get lucky but again too slow by about 45mins max from the time the comments were posted.
Maybe you could try a new way of distributing since you monitor the comments prior to putting them out. ppl could post in that comment to put code in drawing(only if they want to) and then at the end of the week/month anyone that has shared a code gets put into the drawing for those codes. So then those that share and contribute get to reap the rewards. I’m just throwing out a suggestion.
Not to seem um selfish? but after reading the comments when I started coming to this site I contemplated whether to share if you’re just gonna have ppl steal them without thanking anyone or following the rules. So i’ve been waiting to see if I could ever snag a code myself, and so far nothing but that email. I had problems once on the million point giveaway and the help I got online was “you can enter via the free entry method.” Basically, if the game doesn’t work or something goes haywire for an entry try, you lose that try. Ugh, it has only happened to me once, but it was soooo frustrating.
At least in better news, I did hit a win on one of my three 12-pack codes for Monday. Granted, it is still Sunday here and it was only 10 Bonus points, but a win is a win.

TimSmith, think of it like this. Right now everyone who comes to this site is typing away. When we hit submit, we only see what we personally type. For example, for over 12 hours a group of my trivia questions sat, ready for all of you to see, to answer, to think about. BUT I was the only one who could see them, because I’m the one who typed them.

I tried to post this the other day using my sister’s PC (I too was visiting my sister) and was not able to post from her PC. Some kind of error -Anonymous proxy usage or something. Jessica_FL – I have never tried, but I assume that you would NOT be able to play the million points game if you are at your weekly points limit. You most likely COULD play the two texting games, however, you would not receive your points for the codes. (I believe you can enter codes in your account and then play them in the text game, but not the other way around, so you would lose your points if you text first and are at the weekly limit.) Again, I have not tried any of this, but I believe this is the way it works.

Thank you so much to Darrell for the amazingly generous (and huge!) post. Also, thanks to CodeCola for posting back- I’m glad you got a few! I would like to ask whoever took Darrell’s remaining codes to please post a comment saying you took them. I know that I’ve been on vacation this week, and I appreciate your patience. However, that doesn’t mean that you don’t have to post back. I’ve decided that until whoever took them posts a comment back to me, I will not be approving any more comments. I’m sorry that one bad apple has to ruin it for everyone, but I’m fed up. Darrell is one of the nicest, most selfless people that you will ever find anywhere. It really pisses me off that people take it for granted. So please come forward.
Otherwise, there will be no codes for anybody until I go home in one week. It’s up to you, and you know who you are. Next time, I promise you will be blocked.

Hey ColaGal, no idea on Darrell’s codes, just found them now. I’m at 114 for the week, which is just enough for the It’s2Late cap codee from trivia, but unlike bread and meat, they won’t spoil, so no worries if they be later than anticipated by either of us. I more can’t believe you spend as much time as you have had with us when visiting your sister. No idea how far you had to travel, but me thinks it is kinda far, so no idea how much time you get with her. I am glad tough you are enjoying your time with her, which is very neat. Also, I am female, and my middle name is Arlene for #10. The other way to spell it, although not my version, is Arleen. I would have taken either answer.
I so wanted to do a whopper bonus quiz to make up for these two quizzes that were not answered. It would have been a ten-point flap code too. But, in protest of all of Darrell’s codes NOT be officially claimed on the site, I am on strike. It’s just a shame that we had another power outage — that’s two nights in a row. I missed out on your mega post of codes Darrell, and the t-shirt code too from Jmhc. Even if I had only gotten one code, you know I would have posted and thanked you. I tried about 6 of Darrell’s codes about an hour after you posted 3 entries (Darrell’s included) and they were all redeemed by the time I got to them. I gave up trying because I was afraid I was going to get locked out. So whomever took the codes did so very soon after they posted.

I understand your frustration, and support your decision to halt approval of comments. I would guess most that regularly post here will be OK with the lack of comments while you are waiting for whomever took the codes fo fess up. Enjoy your vacation and try not to worry about this site.

I know you provide this site for free and put a lot of effort into it. But come on! It’s a open blog to the public, anyone can see the codes and use them. How can you get mad at people using the codes and not report that they did? Make a private forum if it bothers you that much….

Colagal, I appreciate your concern about the code donations I have been making and the lack of response by the taker, or takers, of the codes donated. This has happened the last five or so times. So, and I have done this before at another site where I used to donate large amounts of codes, I will not be giving any more codes here. It is a shame, because the benefit was to everyone, But the sad thing is that it’s not only greed and selfish behavior, but totally stupid, yes that’s right, STUPID, of the taker to try to hide that they took them. It does not matter to me one bit if the taker gots every single code I donate. There is not a limit, all of them are available to the first come, first served. So the hurt goes not only to the ones who post rbm, but the fool, the FOOL eho won’t rbm.
So I wish all of you well, and I may or may not be back.

I only recently became aware of this site through a Google search while trying to get the few last points I needed for a particular Coke reward. Maybe your culprit or culprits are someone in a similar situation who found the site, used the posted codes and that was enough points for them and they aren’t checking this site anymore.
The guilty parties may not be back on this site soon or possibly ever.

certainly it is up to you all to decide how you want to handle this but I do not understand why people are willing to give this up because of one inconsiderate person? That person may never come on this site again and it would have no impact on them. A lot of people created a community here and it was very special. It may be that it is just time to call it quits but I hope the power to close the site is not given to one person who really doesn’t care . Sprite… I have had trouble redeeming codes from 12 packs in the past. Contact Coke and let them know. They will credit your account. I have a stack of 7 or 8 codes that did not work for me but I haven’t had the time to submit them. I am not sure how the entry into the 10,000 point contest will work. I certainly wouldn’t want to lose those. I will let you know if I contact them about mine.
